For columns containing structured JSON data. The raw value is shown as JSON text.

Editing

Clicking the cell (or the field in the record form and in “New row”) opens a multi-line code editor with syntax highlighting:

• Checked as you type: errors are marked right in the text, the status line names the cause. Invalid JSON can’t be saved.
• Format (or Shift+Alt+F) indents the content neatly. Ctrl+S saves.
• The value is saved compact (without indentation) – that’s how PostgreSQL (JSONB) and MySQL (JSON) store it anyway. For editing it is shown indented again.
• An empty editor saves no value.
